One broker, every California metro

Dream Safe Insurance is licensed in California and serves employers, businesses and families statewide. From Los Angeles and Orange County to the Bay Area and Sacramento, we handle business insurance, employee benefits and personal coverage in every metro.

Business, benefits and personal insurance in every area we serve

In every community we serve, we help with three kinds of coverage: business insurance for local companies, employee benefits for employers and their teams, and personal insurance for homes, cars and families. Many clients use us for more than one, so they have a single broker who knows the whole picture.

City or county: where your business license comes from

In California, most cities require a business license or business tax certificate from the city clerk or finance office. Unincorporated areas typically register through the county. Requirements vary by city but the underlying insurance obligations — workers’ compensation, liability, commercial auto — apply the same way everywhere in the state.

What changes from one area to the next

The basics stay the same everywhere in California. Workers’ compensation is required as soon as you have one employee, and general liability, commercial auto and an umbrella sit on top of that. What changes by area is the work itself and what the people hiring you expect.

  • Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego have dense commercial leasing, so landlords, property managers and enterprise clients often set the insurance requirements.
  • The Inland Empire and Central Valley carry heavy warehouse, logistics and agricultural traffic, so commercial auto and workers’ compensation get extra attention.
  • The Bay Area and Sacramento bring more technology, professional services and public-sector work, with higher required limits and detailed certificate wording.

Knowing which of those describes your business helps us know where to start when we compare options.

Serving businesses beyond the major metros

You don’t have to be in a major metro to work with us. Most of our business is handled by phone, email and video call. Whether you’re in a smaller city, a mountain community or an agricultural area, we can quote, bind and manage your coverage the same way we do for our metro clients.

FAQ

Service area questions

Do you only work with businesses in these metro areas?

No. Those are the metros where most of our clients are located, but we serve businesses and families throughout California. Your policies apply statewide, and we handle everything by phone, email and video call.

Not always. Mailing addresses often cover areas outside city limits. Check with the city or county before applying for a business license, since the office that covers your actual location is the one that issues it.

Your policies usually follow you anywhere in California, depending on the policy. But job location can affect contract requirements, auto use and certain classifications, so let us know where your crews actually work.

Most clients handle everything with us by phone, email and video call, from quotes and renewals to certificates and claims questions. Distance rarely matters, which is why we can help businesses and families across California.

Yes. We help families throughout California with home, renters, auto, recreational vehicle and life insurance. Personal coverage uses the same independent approach as our business insurance: we compare multiple carriers and find the best fit.
